Sound (My Role ;) [Summary]

1) Voice-Over : A typical feature of a film trailer is a voice - over, every film has one, why? Well the function of a voice-over is to help improve the audience's understanding of the plot, what's going on. The most famous American- Voice over artist would have to be the late, Don Lofantaine, also known as "Thunder Throat" - Films such as The Terminator and The Simpsons Movie.

2) Music is a key factor as it helps the mood and the tone of the trailer itself! Usually the music used in the trailer isn't from the film itself, the film score(background music) may not have been produced yet even. The music used in the trailer may be, Music from the score of other movies, Tarantino does this a lot, as he used a wide assortment's of songs taken from various artists, such as "Miserlou" and "surf rider". Music can also be popular music, chosen specifically for its tone.

3) The focus point of many modern-day trailers would be the scenes including the sound effects and the music. The trailer for the "Dark Knight" would be the most outstanding as it's won 3 awards, one for being the best film trailer of the year"

4) In our movie trailer, what you are going to see is a fast-paced montage, basically you hear the music, but you see something else, the pace will go quicker and quicker to increase tension for the audience and toward the ending, all you can hear is silence. In the beginning, there shall be an introduction as to what is happening, what is the stroyline, the plot.
